CHB Engineering has proudly been under new ownership since April 2026, continuing a trusted local engineering legacy in Central Hawke’s Bay. Owned and operated by Regan Feck and Jeanine Hepworth, we are committed to keeping local farms, businesses and machinery working.

Regan brings a strong background in heavy diesel mechanics and engineering, leading technical delivery with practical, hands-on expertise. Jeanine leads operations and project coordination, helping ensure jobs run smoothly from enquiry through to completion.

With a long-standing reputation in Waipawa and across Central Hawke’s Bay, CHB Engineering continues a proud local engineering history servicing the agricultural, rural and contracting sectors. The business has built trusted relationships through practical workmanship, reliable service and a strong focus on supporting local customers.

Our authorised service agents

We are locally recognised specialists in the wool handling industry and are authorised service agents for Lister, Supershear and Heiniger shear plants and handpieces. We also service Donalds, TPW and Lyco wool presses and can provide servicing, repairs and support to keep equipment running reliably throughout the season.

What We Supply

CHB Engineering supplies and services wool presses, and specialises in the servicing, repair, and supply of parts for shearing handpieces and sheep shearing equipment. As authorised agents for leading brands including Lister, Supershear, Heiniger, Lyco and Donalds, we provide expert servicing, genuine replacement parts, and technical support to help keep shearing plants operating reliably throughout the season.

In addition to our sheep and wool handling expertise, we offer fabrication, welding, hydraulic repairs, on-site breakdown services, custom engineering, and farm machinery repairs for farmers and businesses across New Zealand.

Our fully equipped workshop is capable of handling everything from minor repairs to large-scale fabrication projects. With certified welding capability, a CNC 4-metre press brake, and a CNC profile cutter capable of processing steel plate up to 32mm thick, we deliver accurate, high-quality engineering solutions tailored to our customers’ needs. Whether it’s servicing a single shearing handpiece, repairing a wool press, or manufacturing complex fabricated components, our experienced team is committed to providing dependable workmanship, quality products, and outstanding customer service.
